Traveling over to the west coast of Scotland provides an opportunity to experience a completely different scene and climate from the neighboring regions to the north and northeast.
It’s also the home to vastly improved Trump Turnberry Ailsa course, which has played host to the Open Championship on four occasions, including the memorable 2009 Open when the 59 year old Tom Watson came so close to winning on the 72nd hole.
Just 20 miles up the road lies the historic course of Prestwick and neighboring Royal Troon hosted the 2016 Open Championship.
